Thibaut Courtois admits he has been impressed by Andreas Christensen's top form for Chelsea this season

Thibaut Courtois has admitted his delight at the way Andreas Christensen has been performing for Chelsea this season.
The Danish defender has been a regular fixture in the first team for the Blues so far this season following his impressive form Antonio Conte’s men.
The 21-year-old has been filling in for the injured David Luiz in recent weeks and has ended up starting 11 of Chelsea’s 18 Premier League games so far this term.
Christensen has been earning plenty of praise for his strong performances for the Blues and he once again played the full 90 minutes as he helped the west London side keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
And Blues goalkeeper Courtois has been extremely impressed by the way the Dane has slotted seamlessly into the first team at Stamford Bridge under Conte this season.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Courtois said: “I remember when he was training with us before he went on loan to Monchengladbach and you could see he had the quality and talent to play at Chelsea.
“Those two years at ‘Gladbach, playing in a tough league, with big crowds, Champions League as well – he learned a lot.
“He’s put his experience on the pitch here and is doing very well.”
Chelsea are in League Cup action on Wednesday night when they take on Bournemouth in the quarter-finals.
The Blues, who are currently third and 14 points off top spot, will then play their final game before Christmas with a crunch clash against Everton at Goodison Park next Saturday lunchtime.
