Claude Makelele talks up brand new Chelsea partnership
Claude Makelele says Tiemoue Bakayoko will help to bring out the best in N'Golo Kante at Chelsea

Claude Makelele believes that Tiemoue Bakayoko will help to bring out the best in N’Golo Kante for Chelsea in the coming seasons.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea from French side Monaco back in the summer transfer window as Antonio Conte moved to bring him to the west London club after he sanctioned the sale of Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
The 23-year-old has been a regular in the first team since his move and he has been forging a partnership with his France team-mate Kante for the Blues.
And former Chelsea midfielder Makelele believes that both players will help to bring out the best of each other for the west London side.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Makelele said: “[Kante and Bakayoko] are so much stronger together.
“Kante runs a lot, Bakayoko is more of a dribbler, he’s more clever and powerful in possession.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Blues are aiming to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in style last season but did not have the distraction of European football during Conte’s first campaign in charge at the west London club.
The Blues are currently fourth and six points behind leaders Manchester City.
