Joe Cole has singled out Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata as Chelsea’s three most important players this season.
The trio are widely regarded as the Blues’ top attacking talents and they have been in fine form for the west London side under Antonio Conte so far this term.
Fabregas, Hazard and Morata all started for Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime but were unable to prevent the Blues from slipping to a disappointing 1-0 defeat by West Ham United in the Premier League.
Morata has made a strong start to life at Chelsea since signing for the Blues from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Hazard and Fabregas have also been in fine form this season as Chelsea look to try and defend their title.
And former Chelsea and West Ham star Cole has been extremely impressed by what he has seen from the trio in recent weeks for the west London side.
Speaking to Sky Sports before Chelsea’s defeat by West Ham on Saturday, Cole said: “Those three players – Morata, Hazard and Fabregas – they could literally play by themselves.
“The whole of the team supports them, with the wing-backs pushing up.
“When they get the ball, the amount of times they find each other in dangerous areas of the pitch…”
Chelsea will now look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The west London side will discover their opponents in the last 16 of the Champions League when the draw is made on Monday.
