Antonio Conte sends clear message to Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Antonio Conte believes that Eden Hazard has what it takes to win the Ballon d'Or with Chelsea one day

Antonio Conte believes that Chelsea star Eden Hazard has what it takes to win the Ballon d’Or one day.
Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated winning football’s most prestigious individual accolade for a fifth time last week as both he and Lionel Messi continue to dominate the award.
Hazard has been touted as a potential future winner of the award, with the Chelsea midfielder having won the PFA player of the year award in England after helping the Blues to win the Premier League title in the 2014-15 campaign.
And Chelsea manager Conte believes that Hazard has the ability to compete with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo for the Ballon d’Or.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday at Cobham, Conte said: “Eden is a young player and he has the potential to improve his place in this table [19th in the Ballon d’Or running].
“At the same time, I like to repeat: you have to win trophies if you want to reach the best. A top player must have this ambition.”
Hazard has been in good form for Chelsea this season as he bids to try and help the Blues climb the Premier League table and keep pace with the Manchester clubs.
The Belgian was in fine form last term as he helped the west London side to win the Premier League for the second time in three years following Conte’s appointment back in the summer of 2016.
Chelsea missed out on the chance to win a domestic double last season when they were beaten by Arsenal in the FA Cup final back in May.
