Top 25-year-old wants £200,000 a week at Chelsea as Eden Hazard eyes new deal – report
Thibaut Courtois wants a new contract at Chelsea worth £200,000 per week, say reports

Thibaut Courtois wants to increase his salary at Chelsea to £200,000 a week as he ponders signing a new deal with the west London club, according to reports in the British media.
Website Goal is claiming that Courtois’ contract situation is one of Chelsea’s financial priorities as the Blues look to tie the goalkeeper down to a new long-term deal.
The same report claims that Chelsea are “prioritising” handing Eden Hazard a new contract but they are also keen to get the Belgian shot-stopper to commit his future to the west London club.
The story also claims that Courtois is keen to increase his current salary of £120,000 per week to £200,000 a week in recognition as his status as one of the world’s top goalkeepers.
Hazard, meanwhile, is already Chelsea’s highest-paid player, earning around £200,000 a week, according to the report.
However, the 26-year-old Belgium star could end up earning around £300,000 per week plus bonuses if he does decide to sign a new contract with the west London club.
Hazard has been regularly linked with a move away from Chelsea in the past, with Real Madrid touted as one of the main clubs said to be interested in signing him in recent seasons.
