Arsene Wenger hits out at Chelsea for releasing 18-year-old talent
Arsene Wenger questions why Chelsea opted to let Eddie Nketiah join Arsenal back in 2015

Arsene Wenger has questioned why Chelsea opted to let Eddie Nketiah leave the club to join their London rivals Arsenal.
The Blues opted to let the 18-year-old striker leave their youth set-up in 2015, despite the forward having spent seven years with the west London side.
Nketiah moved to Arsenal in 2015 and he made his first senior appearance for the Gunners on Tuesday night, when he scored twice in the Gunners’ impressive 2-1 comeback win over Norwich City in the League Cup at The Emirates.
Wenger says that he has been impressed by Nketiah’s development at youth level and that he has regularly questioned why Chelsea opted to let him leave the club.
Speaking at his post-match news conference at The Emirates on Tuesday night, Wenger said: “I don’t know what happened at Chelsea.
“He has scored goals at youth level and sometimes I don’t know why they let him go.
“I don’t know why. You see that more and more. Young people travel from one club to another. I don’t know.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they host Swansea City at The Emirates.
The north London side head into that game on the back of their impressive 5-2 victory over Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
The Gunners, who finished fifth last term, find themselves in fifth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after nine games of the new season.
