Eden Hazard has admitted that Chelsea suffered from a “bad game” at West Ham last weekend as the Blues look to get themselves back into the title race.

Antonio Conte’s men slumped to a 1-0 defeat by the Hammers at the London Stadium last weekend as they suffered a blow to their Premier League title hopes.

However, Hazard helped Chelsea to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory at Huddersfield Town as they look to keep themselves in the hunt to defend their title.

Chelsea are currently in third place in the table as they bid to keep themselves in the title race, and Hazard has talked up the importance of the Blues stringing together a positive series of results during the hectic festive period in the top flight.

Speaking to BT Sport after Tuesday night’s game, Hazard said: “We had a bad game at West Ham. We needed to bounce back and we did.

“We did pretty well. The fans are happy and we are happy. Now let’s move forward for the game against Southampton at Stamford Bridge.”

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side won the Premier League title in style last season but look like they are going to face an uphill struggle in trying to catch Manchester City this time around.

The Blues will take on Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League next year.
