Thierry Henry: What’s changed about Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Thierry Henry discusses Eden Hazard's recently improved form for Chelsea this season
Thierry Henry has claimed that Eden Hazard is now looking happier than ever in a Chelsea shirt – and that’s the main reason behind his fine form.
The 27-year-old has been earning plenty of praise for his performances for the west London side this season and has been one of Chelsea’s standout players.
Most Chelsea fans would probably agree that Hazard is now approaching his best form for the west London side once again.
The playmaker has scored nine goals and made four assists in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s men this season and has been one of their most consistent players after having recovered from an ankle injury at the start of the campaign.
Henry knows Hazard well after having worked closely with him as part of his coaching role with the Belgian national team.
And the Arsenal legend has claimed that Hazard is approaching his best form once again because of his happiness with his current role in Antonio Conte’s team.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday night, Henry said: “He’s happy to play as a number 10 again, in a free role.
“He doesn’t have to defend that much nowadays. He’s sharp on the counter as we all know.
“Vision, skills, goals, assists… but what I like is that you can see the happiness back on his face.
“It makes a massive difference but he’s really relishing that position as a 10.”
Hazard will be hoping to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against Leicester City.
The west London club are currently third in the Premier League table.
