Frank Lampard sends message to Chelsea fans about N’Golo Kante
Frank Lampard believes that Antonio Conte was playing it safe by not risking N'Golo Kante for Chelsea against Roma

Frank Lampard believes that Antonio Conte simply didn’t want to risk N’Golo Kante for Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Roma on Tuesday night.
The French midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury in recent weeks after having suffered the problem while on duty with his national team.
Kante has been training with his Chelsea team-mates at Cobham in recent days but Conte decided not to include the midfielder in the squad for the 3-0 loss to the Italian side in Rome.
And former Chelsea star Lampard believes that Conte was simply protecting Kante, with a lengthy season in mind.
Lampard said on BT Sport on Tuesday night: “It’s a long season.
“There are big games for Chelsea coming up. I guess Conte doesn’t want to risk him at this stage.”
Chelsea will now look to dust themselves down after the disappointment of their loss to Roma as they turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their crunch clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after 10 games.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are currently second in the table and five points behind Manchester City as they prepare for their crunch clash against Chelsea this weekend.
