Frank Lampard salutes Chelsea star: He’s gone from strength to strength
Frank Lampard heaps praise on Thibaut Courtois following his strong form for Chelsea in recent seasons

Frank Lampard has lavished praise on Thibaut Courtois following his impressive form for Chelsea in recent seasons.
The Belgian goalkeeper has made the number one spot his own at Stamford Bridge after having settled at the west London club following a series of loan spells at Atletico Madrid.
Courtois is now widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.
The 25-year-old has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team so far this season and has played every minute of the Blues’ Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
And former Chelsea star Lampard has been hugely impressed by the way in which Courtois has developed at Stamford Bridge in recent seasons.
Speaking to BT Sport on Tuesday night, Lampard said: “He’s such a great goalkeeper.
“He has fantastic attributes – his size and he’s technically very good.
“Playing from such a young age [at Atletico Madrid] in La Liga was a great experience for him very young.
“Chelsea had the riches of having him and Petr Cech coming through.
“Now he’s been the main man at Chelsea himself for a few years. He’s very confident. He’s gone from strength to strength.”
Courtois will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United.
The west London side are currently in third place in the table as they look to try and defend their title this season after having won the trophy in style last term.
