Jamie Redknapp: I’ve changed my mind about Chelsea signing, he’s phenomenal
Jamie Redknapp admits he has been hugely impressed by Alvaro Morata's strong impact at Chelsea this season

Jamie Redknapp has admitted that he has has had to reassess his thoughts about Alvaro Morata following his strong start to life at Chelsea.
The 24-year-old striker was brought to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid back in July as Antonio Conte moved quickly to bolster his attacking options ahead of his second season in charge at the west London club.
There had been question marks about how quickly Morata would be able to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League and fill in for Diego Costa, who secured a transfer back to Atletico Madrid last month.
However, Morata has made a fine start to life at Chelsea and scored six goals and made two assists in his first seven Premier League outings for the west London club.
The Spain international has showed no signs of struggling to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League and it looks as though he will be a key player for the Blues this season.
And former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp has conceded that he’s had to reassess his thoughts about Morata following his switch to the west London club.
Speaking on Sky Sports before Chelsea’s clash with Watford on Saturday, Redknapp said: “Obviously when you lose Costa you are looking for someone to come in and make an instant impact.
“I wasn’t sure at the start, I must admit.
“I thought he wasn’t quite as physical, he hasn’t got that presence that Diego Costa possesses.
“But seven goals so far, that is a phenomenal start.”
Chelsea won the title in Conte’s first campaign in charge last season.
