Cesar Azpilicueta has warned his Chelsea team-mates that there can be no more slip-ups in the Premier League title race.
The defending champions made a disappointing start to the Premier League season following a shock 3-2 loss to Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their opening game.
Chelsea rallied with a four-game unbeaten run including a 2-1 victory over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur before losing 1-0 to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
Former Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored a second-half winner to leave Chelsea six points adrift of the leaders before succumbing to a surprise 2-1 defeat at the Premier League’s basement club Crystal Palace.
Chelsea, though, responded with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge last weekend before Eden Hazard netted a winner to secure a 1-0 triumph at Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Manchester United will make the trip to Chelsea in their next Premier League game as Antonio Conte’s men come up against another title rival.
Spain international Azpilicueta warned his Chelsea team-mates that the Blues have little room to manourvre in the remaining 28 Premier League games this season.
“We have lost already three games and there is no room for mistakes now, we have to keep winning,” Azpilicueta told the Daily Star.
Chelsea won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after finishing seven points clear of runners-up Tottenham.
