Ian Wright has accused Eden Hazard of “not turning up” for Chelsea’s FA Cup final clash against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Belgian playmaker featured from the start at Wembley but was unable to prevent Chelsea from slipping to a 2-1 loss to Arsenal as Antonio Conte’s men missed out on the chance to win a domestic double.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey wrapped up victory for Arsene Wenger’s men and handed the Gunners their third FA Cup title in four years.

Hazard struggled to make much of an impact on the game at Wembley and Wright was not at all impressed by the 26-year-old’s performance in north London.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Wright said: “Hazard has been brilliant all season but he didn’t turn up today.

“You need people like him when it’s going against to do something to get you going. He didn’t do that.”

Despite Chelsea’s disappointment, the Blues can still take heart from their impressive season under Conte, as they won the Premier League title in the Italian’s first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side will be hoping to compete for the Champions League next season.
