Paul Merson predicts where Chelsea will finish in title race
The Arsenal legend rules out Chelsea winning the Premier League title this season

Paul Merson has ruled out Chelsea winning the Premier League title this season.
The defending Premier League champions are already nine points behind current leaders Manchester City after 10 top-flight games.
The Blues have already lost to Burnley and Crystal Palace in surprise defeats in the Premier League title race so far.
Perhaps the most damaging loss was a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City following Kevin De Bruyne’s winner at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are looking to win their third Premier League title in four seasons and the second top-flight game since Antonio Conte’s appointment.
The defending champions will host title rivals Manchester United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Merson has ruled out Chelsea winning the Premier League title this season.
“I don’t think they are title contenders and I think if they can get in the top four, win the FA Cup and get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League then that would represent a good season,” Merson told Sky Sports.
Chelsea signed six players in the summer transfer window in preparation for a return to the Champions League after a two-game absence.
The Blues lost 3-0 to AS Roma in the Champions League mid-week to raise concerns about their defence.
The defending champions missed out on a unique double in Conte’s first season in charge following a 2-1 loss to bitter rivals Arsenal at Wembley.
