Antonio Conte holds crunch Chelsea talks about transfers and more – report
Antonio Conte held crunch talks with Chelsea chief Roman Abramovich last week to discuss a new contract and summer transfers

Antonio Conte held crunch talks with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich last week about the possibility of signing a new contract and disussed the Blues’ summer transfer plans, according to reports in the British media.
The Times is reporting that the Chelsea boss met with the club’s owner last week to discuss his long-term future at the west London club.
The same story claims that Chelsea are “confident” that Conte will commit his future to the west London side by signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The article states that Conte is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal with Chelsea when he returns for pre-season training next month.
It is reported that Abramovich contacted Conte directly to organise a meeting after the Italian became frustrated by the club’s slow start to their summer transfer business.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of players this summer but have yet to confirm any new signings.
However, the article in the Times claims that Abramovich is ready to authorise a huge transfer budget of as much as £200m for the Blues to spend on new signings this summer.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in Conte’s first season in charge at the west London club.
