Chelsea to wrap up second signing in £34m deal – report
Chelsea are poised to complete the signing of Roma defender Antonio Rudiger this summer, according to reports

Chelsea are set to sign Roma defender Antonio Rudiger in the coming days as the Blues search for their second signing, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Blues are still expecting to be able to get the deal for Rudiger over the line despite the west London club’s failure in the transfer market to date.
The English champions had been linked with a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku but the Blues have now missed out on the Belgian, according to the report.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players this summer, but the Blues have so far only concluded a deal to sign goalkeeper Willy Caballero from Manchester City on a free transfer.
Nevertheless, the same report in the Daily Mail claims that Chelsea are at least set to secure the signing of 24-year-old Germany defender Rudiger in a £34m deal.
Chelsea will surely be keen to significantly bolster their squad this summer as Antonio Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Blues won the title in the Italian manager’s first season in charge at the west London club.
