Willy Caballero has revealed his delight at completing his move to Chelsea on a free transfer from Manchester City this summer.
The goalkeeper signed for the Blues after he was released by the Citizens at the end of last season and becomes Chelsea’s first signing of the summer.
Antonio Conte moved quickly to bring in a new shot-stopper after second-choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic sealed a permanent transfer to Bournemouth this summer.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website about the move, Caballero said: “I am very happy to join Chelsea, the champions of England.
“I am looking forward to meeting the guys and helping the club achieve more success in the coming season.”
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer and reports in the media over the weekend suggested that the Blues are on the brink of being able to announce a deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.
Conte is likely to want to significantly further bolster his squad this summer after Chelsea won the Premier League title last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
The west London side won the title last term but missed out on the FA Cup when they were beaten by Arsenal in the final in May.
