Chelsea star refuses to comment on Nemanja Matic’s move to Man United
Thibaut Courtois refuses to discuss whether Chelsea have been missing Nemanja Matic this season

Thibaut Courtois has refused to be drawn into discussing Nemanja Matic’s transfer to Manchester United from Chelsea this summer.
The Serbian midfielder left Stamford Bridge to sign for the Red Devils back in August after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by manager Antonio Conte.
The move came as a surprise to many, with Matic having played a key role in helping Chelsea to win the title under Conte last season.
Matic has been in fine form for Manchester United since his move and has slotted seamlessly into the first team at Old Trafford.
However, his former Chelsea team-mate Courtois refused to comment when asked if he feels that the Blues have been missing Matic this term.
Courtois is quoted as saying by the Independent: “I don’t know [if Chelsea have been missing Matic].
“We know Nemanja’s qualities, he is someone who last year gave us the balance as well.
“He decided to go to another team, so we won’t live in the past.
“Our midfield is very good, we have very strong players so I don’t know if we miss him.
“But if you have two injuries in midfield, then, of course, you can say yeah we miss Nemanja because he is another quality player and he is doing well in Manchester.”
Courtois and Matic are set to come up against each other when Chelsea host Manchester United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues head into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 3-0 loss to Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Mourinho’s Manchester United, meanwhile, were 2-0 winners over Benfica at Old Trafford in midweek.
