Chelsea star N’Golo Kante labelled ‘redundant’ after defeat
N'Golo Kante was criticised by Manchester United legend Paul Ince after France's defeat by Spain on Tuesday

N’Golo Kante has been labelled as “redundant” by Paul Ince after he struggled to get to grips with the midfield during Spain’s win over France on Tuesday night.
The Chelsea midfielder has been hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League this season but the France international was unable to prevent his side from slumping to a defeat in this week’s friendly clash in Paris.
Kante has been tipped as one of the leading contenders to win the PFA player of the year award this season following his brilliant form for the west London club.
But Manchester United legend Ince felt that the midfielder failed to get to grips with his Spanish opponents on Tuesday night.
Speaking during the game on ITV Sport, Ince said: “Kante is the best player in the Premier League at the moment and yet Spain aren’t giving him a moment. He’s redundant today.
“Andres Iniesta is magical to watch, it’s a pleasure to see him play. He’s pulling the strings.”
Kante will be expecting to feature for Chelsea when the Blues take on Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
