Former Chelsea star admits he’d love to return to Stamford Bridge
Oscar admits that he would love to return to the Premier League to play for Chelsea in the future
Oscar has admitted that he would love to return to the Premier League to play for Chelsea in the future.
The Brazilian playmaker left Stamford Bridge to sign for Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG last winter after enjoying some successful seasons in the Premier League.
Oscar won two Premier League titles during his time at Chelsea before his somewhat surprising move to the Chinese league.
The 26-year-old, however, clearly still holds Chelsea close to his heart and says he would be open to a return to the west London club in the future.
Oscar is quoted as saying by PL Brasil: “Yes, I would go back! I’m still young, I’m 26.
“Who knows in two, three years to return to the Premier League… I would be very happy. And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me to return.”
Chelsea won the Premier League title last season despite Oscar leaving the club halfway through the season.
The Blues have made something of a stuttering start to the new campaign and they are currently fourth in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new season.
Chelsea have made a strong start in the Champions League, however, winning both of their opening group games in Europe’s elite club competition.
The west London side are aiming to win the Premier League title for the third time in four years this season.
