Chris Sutton predicts where Chelsea will finish this season
Chris Sutton reckons that Chelsea are already out of the Premier League title race this season

Chris Sutton believes that Chelsea are already out of the Premier League title race following their shock 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Blues slumped to a surprise 2-1 defeat by the Eagles at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon to make it two defeats in a row in the Premier League following their 1-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break.
The result left Chelsea in fifth place in the Premier League table and already nine points behind pace-setters Manchester City after eight games of the new season.
And former Chelsea striker believes that the west London side can already count themselves out of the Premier League title race after their recent results.
Sutton wrote in his column for the Daily Mail: “Chelsea are out of the title race — and hopes of defending their crown looked doomed in the summer when they did not adequately strengthen their squad.”
Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways on Wednesday night when they take on Roma in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have made a strong start to life back in Europe’s elite club competition this season, after having notched up wins against Qarabag and Atletico Madrid in their opening two games.
The west London side then return to Premier League action against Watford at Stamford Bridge this weekend as they look to bounce back to winning ways in the top flight.
