Gary Lineker reacts to Chelsea’s 3-3 draw with Roma
Gary Lineker has his say on social media after Chelsea's thrilling 3-3 draw with Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night

Gary Lineker heaped praise on Edin Dzeko after he inspired Roma to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Chelsea led 2-0 in the first half thanks to goals from David Luiz and Eden Hazard in west London, but Roma equalised before half-time thanks to Aleksandar Kolarov’s goal.
Former Manchester City star Dzeko then scored twice in the second half to put Roma 3-2 ahead, but Hazard drew the hosts level again with his second goal of the evening in the 75th minute.
Chelsea ended up having to settle for a point in what was a thrilling game at Stamford Bridge.
And England legend Lineker took to social media to deliver his reaction as the entertaining clash unfolded in west London.
Lineker tweeted when Chelsea took the lead: “David Luiz gives @ChelseaFC the lead with a goal of real beauty.”
He then added: “Chelsea led 2-0 and now trail 2-3 largely down to Džeko…no joke.”
And after Hazard’s equaliser, he wrote: “Hazard makes it 3-3. Not the slightest bit envious of you at Stamford Bridge @mrjakehumphrey 🙄”
The result marked Chelsea’s first dropped points in the Champions League this season after the Blues won their opening two games against Atletico Madrid and Qarabag.
The west London side will aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday when they take on Watford at Stamford Bridge.
