Frank Lampard sends message to Chelsea fans about Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Frank Lampard believes that it's time for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to step his game up this season while on loan at Crystal Palace

Frank Lampard has challenged Ruben Loftus-Cheek to prove himself as worthy of a regular place in the Chelsea first team during his loan spell at Crystal Palace this season.
The English midfielder was allowed to move to the Eagles on loan for the 2017-18 campaign after being deemed to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old midfielder made a disappointing start to the new season as Crystal Palace slumped to a 3-0 home defeat by newly-promoted Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Now, former Chelsea star Lampard has challenged the midfielder to step his game up and prove himself as worthy of a spot in the first team next season at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on Premier League Tonight on BT Sport on Saturday, Lampard said: “Ruben Loftus-Cheek really has got to take it upon himself now this season and show why they let him go out [to Crystal Palace on loan] and show that he needs to be back there [at Chelsea].”
Chelsea themselves also suffered a disappointing start to the new season as they lost 3-2 to Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues must now look to try and bounce back when they take on Tottenham at Wembley next weekend.
The west London side will make a return to the Champions League group stage next month after their Premier League title triumph last season.
