Steven Gerrard: What impressed me about Chelsea under Antonio Conte
Steven Gerrard was impressed by how Chelsea bounced back to winning ways at Huddersfield on Tuesday

Steven Gerrard has admitted that he was very impressed by Chelsea’s performance in their 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The Blues headed into the game looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium last weekend.
Goals from Willian, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Pedro Rodriguez wrapped up the three points for Antonio Conte’s men and kept them in third place in the Premier League table.
Chelsea have struggled to produce consistent form this season as Conte’s men have had to deal with a return to the Champions League, something they did not have to cope with last term.
And Liverpool FC legend was very impressed by what he saw from Conte’s side as they returned to winning ways in style on Tuesday night with a solid win at Huddersfield Town.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Gerrard said: “Chelsea had all the answers. They forced Huddersfield into mistakes. They pressed really high.
“Chelsea right from the off were right at it. They were inventive. They played at a real speed and intensity that Huddersfield couldn’t cope with.
“It’s the Chelsea we are used to seeing.”
Chelsea will now look to make it back to back wins in the top flight when they take on Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues will take on Barcelona for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals in the new year after the draw was made in Nyon on Monday.
