Steven Gerrard is confident that Chelsea can haul themselves back into the title race in the coming weeks and challenge leaders Manchester City.
The Blues bounced back to winning ways on Tuesday night when they sealed a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in the top flight.
That win came after their disappointing 1-0 loss to West Ham United last weekend at the London Stadium.
Antonio Conte’s men are currently in third place in the Premier League table and 14 points behind leaders Manchester City heading into the hectic festive period in the Premier League.
Chelsea take on Southampton, Everton, Brighton and Stoke in their next four Premier League games as they look to try and climb the table.
And former Liverpool FC star Gerrard believes that the run of games is the perfect opportunity for Chelsea to try and get themselves back into the title race.
Speaking to BT Sport after Chelsea’s win over Huddersfield, Gerrard said: “Chelsea have a great chance to put together a run of victories with those fixtures and hope at some point Man City have a wobble.”
Chelsea are now preparing for their home clash against Southampton on Saturday as they look to make it back to back wins in the top flight.
There is bound to be speculation linking Chelsea with a host of players as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
