Antonio Conte has told Tiemoue Bakayoko that he still has plenty of room for improvement at Chelsea.
The French midfielder joined the west London side from Monaco in the summer transfer window and has been working his way back to full fitness after missing the first few games of the season with a knee injury.
Bakayoko looks like he will be a key player for Chelsea in the coming years as he continues to adapt to the rigours of English football following his move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea boss Conte says that the France international still has plenty of room for improvement as he continues to get used to life in west London.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Conte said: “I think now Bakayoko is fit, he’s 100 per cent, and he’s playing very well.
“For sure he has a lot of room for improvement, he’s a young player, sometimes alternates positive things, negatives things.
“We have to try to work together to increase the positive things during the game. But for sure he’s showing to be a really good player and an important player for us.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday 14 October.
The Blues are aiming to defend their Premier League title season and also progress in the Champions League after having missed out on a place in Europe altogether last term.
Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the last three seasons and are now aiming to lift the Champions League trophy for the second time in their history.
