Owen Hargreaves uses Chelsea to make point about ‘amazing’ Tottenham
Owen Hargreaves says Tottenham deserve plenty of credit for the way they have kept themselves in the title race

Owen Hargreaves has claimed that it is “amazing” that Tottenham are anywhere near Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table due to the injuries they have struggled with this season.
Mauricio Pochettino watched his Spurs side close the gap to leaders Chelsea down to seven points after their 2-0 win at Burnley on Saturday afternoon, as the Blues slumped to a surprise 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham have had to deal with injuries to key players such as Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld this season but have still managed to keep themselves in contention in the title race.
And former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves says that the Lilywhites deserve credit for the way they have performed without some of their stars this season.
Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show on Saturday, Redknapp said: “The amazing thing is that Spurs are even within touching distance.
“Think about the injuries they’ve had… to be even remotely close is a massive achievement.
“Pochettino is a brilliant manager. Chelsea haven’t had any injuries and have had far less games to play. That has helped them massively.”
