Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco this week, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues are hoping to conclude a deal to land the Monaco midfielder in the coming days and kick off their summer of spending in the transfer window.

The same report claims that Chelsea have agreed a £36.7m transfer fee with the French club to bring the France international to Stamford Bridge as their first summer recruit.

The story also says that the Premier League champions are hoping to complete a £61.2m deal to sign full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus in the coming days.

Sandro, 26, is reported to have told Juventus that he wants to leave the Serie A club and link up with Antonio Conte’s side in west London.

Chelsea have been linked with lots of players this summer but the Blues are yet to officially confirm the signing of any new recruits.

The Blues will be keen to add depth to their squad this summer as the west London side prepare for a return to the Champions League next season.
