Chelsea ready to sign midfielder and forward in January – report
Chelsea are keen to sign both Ross Barkley and Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window, say reports

Chelsea are keen to sign both Ross Barkley and Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is claiming that the Blues will make a fresh attempt to land Everton midfielder Barkley after having been linked with a move to land him in the summer window.
The same report also claims that Chelsea remain “keen” on tying up a deal to sign Monaco forward Lemar, who was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer months.
Antonio Conte is thought to be keen to bolster his squad in the mid-season transfer window and the same report says that Chelsea are looking to add at least two new players in January.
The story also suggests that Chelsea are going to revive their interest in Barkley after their deadline-day move for the England international fell through back in August.
Barkley has not featured at all for Everton this season as he continues to struggle with a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, Lemar has scored two goals and made four assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco so far this season after the speculation about his future in the summer.
Chelsea are currently preparing to take on Barkley’s side Everton in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday in the Premier League.
