Chelsea set to pay world-record £61m for top Brazil defender – report
Chelsea are ready to spend £61m on Brazil and Juventus defender Alex Sandro, according to reports

Chelsea are ready to part with a world-record fee for a defender to secure the signing of Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports in the English media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that Chelsea are close to completing a deal to make Sandro their first summer signing of the 2017 window.
The same article states that Serie A champions Juventus expect Sandro to become a Chelsea player before the start of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Indeed, the story goes on to reveal that the 26-year-old has asked to leave Juventus in order to seal a lucrative move to the English champions.
Sandro was a key part of Massimiliano Allegri’s side that won the Serie A title and finished as Champions League runners-up last term.
The full-back scored three goals and made seven assists in 43 appearances in all competitions in the 2016-17 campaign.
Chelsea haven’t announced any signings in the summer transfer window so far despite being linked with a host of players since winning the Premier League title.
The Blues will be looking to build their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next season.
