Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says he is ready to prove his worth at the Europa League winners this season

Romelu Lukaku says he is ready to prove his worth at Chelsea despite admitting life at the Blues isn’t easy.
The Belgium international returned to the west London side after impressing during his season-long loan spell with West Bromwich Albion, scoring 17 Premier League goals.
The 20-year-old, who was signed in a £17m deal from Anderlecht in 2011, is yet to score a top-flight goal for the Blues after making eight appearances in first season at the club.
But Lukaku is confident that he can force his way into first-team reckoning over the coming season.
“It’s not easy at Chelsea, it’s not easy at all,” Lukaku told the Sunday Mirror.
“You have to show yourself every day because you know how big the competition is and, if you don’t do well, there is always a player that can take your place.
“Of course, I think I can get into the first team at Chelsea. But there is still room for improvement.”
Lukaku also reiterated his desire to stay and fight for a first-team place after being linked with another long-term loan in recent weeks.
“I’m a Chelsea player and happy to be here,” added Lukaku. “It’s up to me. If I do well, I will play. I have always felt like a Chelsea player, even at West Brom.”
