Antonio Conte confirms plans for more Chelsea signings this month
Antonio Conte hints that Chelsea are ready to spend more money in the January transfer window

Antonio Conte has suggested that Chelsea are in the hunt to make multiple signings this month after they secured the signature of Ross Barkley last week.
The Blues completed the signing of the 24-year-old England international from Everton on Friday afternoon after having been heavily linked with a move for him in recent months.
Barkley becomes Chelsea’s first signing of the January transfer window but the west London side are widely expected to further strengthen their squad this month.
Chelsea are bound to be linked with a host of other players in the coming weeks as Conte looks for his side to climb the table and get closer to Premier League leaders Manchester City.
And the Chelsea manager has admitted that he would like to get the majority of Chelsea’s transfer business done as quickly as possible.
Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Friday afternoon, Conte said: “I speak with my club.
“There are priorities to improve the team, in certain roles, and I think in this situation, the best way is to speak with the club in the right moment and give my opinion to improve the team.
“I tell the club which is the role we can improve, the prospects of the player, the characteristics of the players we need and then the club will try to help me. There isn’t just one list, there’s two, three lists and sometimes you can’t get the first name on the list.
“Sometimes the club can make you happy, sometimes not, but it doesn’t change for me because my commitment is always the same. I try to work very hard with my players on the pitch.
“In this transfer window, if we sign some new players then I’ll be very happy, especially if the players are in these certain roles.”
Chelsea are currently preparing for the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The two sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at The Emirates in the Premier League last Wednesday.
The west London side are also preparing to take on Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League next month.
