Chelsea ‘convinced’ 24-year-old will sign for them this summer – report
Chelsea are confident of being able to secure a deal to sign Antonio Rudiger from Roma this summer, say reports

Chelsea are confident of completing a deal to sign Antonio Rudiger from Roma this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues are expecting to be able to push through a deal for the 24-year-old defender as Antonio Conte looks to shore up his rearguard options at Stamford Bridge.
The same story claims that Chelsea were on the verge of landing Rudiger for a fee of around £20m last summer before he suffered a serious knee injury.
Now, the same article claims that the Blues are set to wrap up the signing of the defender in a £33m deal.
Despite suggestions that Chelsea could face competition from Manchester City for the signature of the German defender, the Blues are said to be “convinced” that Rudiger will sign for them this summer.
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Conte prepares for his second season in charge at Stamford Bridge and for a return to the Champions League next term.
However, the Blues have so far only concluded a deal to land goalkeeper Willy Caballero on a free transfer.
