Chelsea to battle Arsenal to sign 20-year-old talent – report
Arsenal are set to go head to head with Chelsea to sign Leon Bailey in January, say reports

Arsenal are set to go head to head with Chelsea in the battle to sign Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is claiming that the two London clubs are keen on landing the highly-rated 20-year-old winger in the new year.
The same story says that Chelsea have been tracking Bailey’s progress for “some time” and were close to making a move to try and sign him last season.
The article also claims that Arsenal scouts watched Bailey score twice in the 4-4 draw with Hanover last week.
It is claimed that the Gunners are keen on landing Bailey as an extra wide man after having lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool FC on transfer deadline day in the summer.
The same story, meanwhile, says that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to secure reinforcements across his whole front line in the January transfer window – but it is Bailey’s goal-scoring record from out wide which has peaked the west London club’s interest.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea will go head to head on the pitch for the first time in 2018 when the Gunners host their London rivals at The Emirates in the Premier League on 3 January.
