Insider says Chelsea close to wrapping up third summer signing in £35m deal
Chelsea are close to completing a deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco, according to Jim White

Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco this summer, according to Jim White.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to claim that the Blues are now closing in on the signature of the midfielder after having been heavily linked with him throughout the summer.
White also says that the midfielder is set to undergo a medical with Chelsea in the coming days before completing a transfer worth between £35m and £40m.
White wrote on Twitter: “Midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko of @AS_Monaco to have medical @ChelseaFC – player close to signing, deal could be worth between £35-£40m.”
Chelsea confirmed their second signing of the summer on Sunday when they announced a deal to sign defender Antonio Rudiger from Roma.
His move to Stamford Bridge followed Chelsea’s signing of goalkeeper Willy Caballero on a free transfer from Manchester City earlier this month.
Chelsea are likely to want to significantly strengthen their squad further ahead of next season after securing a return to the Champions League last term.
Antonio Conte led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first campaign in charge at the west London club.
