Club won’t stop 26-year-old defender moving to Chelsea, claims Serie A expert
Serie A expert James Horncastle appears to suggest Chelsea will sign Juventus defender Alex Sandro

Juventus won’t stand in the way of Alex Sandro moving to Chelsea if the Brazil defender has his heart set on a move away from Turin, according to Serie A expert James Horncastle.
The 26-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League champions in the summer transfer window as Antonio Conte looks to improve his full-back options.
Sandro was one of the stars of Juventus’ campaign as Massimiliano Allegri’s side won the Serie A title and Coppa Italia but lost 4-1 to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
The South American defender scored three goals and made four assists in 27 appearances in Serie A last term, while also creating one goal in 11 games in the Champions League.
Speaking to The Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast about Sandro’s future at Juventus and a potential move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, Serie A expert Horncastle said:
“Alex Sandro is a difficult one.
“Chelsea have bid £60m for him and will come back again.
“Juventus don’t want to lose him, but if the player wants to leave, they’ve said they won’t stand in his way. They just need to get a right deal.”
Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under Conte after finishing seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur.
