Chelsea could be close to a deal to sign Alex Sandro as Juventus start to prepare for life without the Brazilian, according to reports in Italy

Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Alex Sandro after Juventus earmarked a replacement for the left-back, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website Calcio Mercato is reporting that the Blues could be close to completing a deal to sign the Brazil international in the summer transfer window given Juventus’ interest in signing a Serie A left-back.
The same article states that the Italian champions are set to target Atalanta’s left-sided midfielder in a move that would help to fill Sandro’s void next season.
According to the Italian media outlet, Spinazzola is currently on loan at Atalanta but Juventus hope to offer the 24-year-old a new deal that would see him return to Turin this summer.
Chelsea are thought to be ready to pay in the region of £61m to sign the South American winger-back in the transfer window.
Sandro would improve Antonio Conte’s options at left wing-back despite Marcos Alonso impressing in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will return to the Champions League next term after Conte led the west London side to Premier League glory in his debut season in the English top flight.
