Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Antonio Candreva from Inter Milan, according to reports in England.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Sun, is reporting that the Serie A giants hope to offload the Italy international to the Premier League champions.
The same article states that Inter are looking to sign former Liverpool midfielder Suso from their bitter city rivals AC Milan.
According to the story, Conte is keen to sign Candreva given his ability to play in a number of positions.
Candreva worked under the current Chelsea boss during the coach’s spell in charge of the Italian national team between 2014 and 2016.
The 30-year-old scored six times and made 10 assists in 38 appearances in Serie A last season following his move to Inter from Lazio last summer.
Chelsea have signed four players in the summer transfer window so far as Conte looks to improve his squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
The Blues have signed Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The west London side won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after finishing seven points clear of second-place Tottenham Hotspur.
