Antonio Conte wants Chelsea update on top summer target – report
The Chelsea manager is desperate to complete a deal to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to reports

Antonio Conte wants reassurances that Chelsea will look to sign Romelu Lukaku in the 2017 summer transfer window, according to reports in France.
L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Conte wants a deal to sign the powerful striker done as quickly as possible to bolster his squad ahead of return to the Champions League next term.
The same article is stating that the Chelsea board are not willing to cough up Lukaku’s asking price of £78.6m, considering the Premier League champions sold the striker to Everton in a £27m deal in 2014.
Indeed, the French media outlet claims that Conte is growing increasingly frustrated that Chelsea still haven’t completed a deal to sign the centre-forward with the start of pre-season looming.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under the management of Conte after the Italian took over the reins from Guus Hiddink at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The Blues finished seven points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur to win their second top-flight crown in three seasons.
