Jamie Redknapp sends worrying message to Chelsea fans about Diego Costa
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp admits he is worried about how Chelsea will manage to replace Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge

Jamie Redknapp admits he is worried about how Chelsea will manage to replace Diego Costa.
The Spain international won his second Premier League title last season after a return of 20 goals in 35 games under Antonio Conte.
However, Costa’s season wasn’t without incident after the controversial striker fell out with his manager in January.
The volatile pair patched up their relationship to ensure Chelsea finished seven points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Conte has seemingly decided to part ways with Costa after the Italian coach sent a message to the 28-year-old informing him that he is free to leave the English champions this summer.
Costa has been linked with a potential return to Atletico Madrid as Chelsea struggle to recruit a replacement after Romelu Lukaku opted to complete a £75m switch to Manchester United.
Speaking to Sky Sports about Costa’s anticipated departure from Stamford Bridge this summer, former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder Redknapp had a warning for the Premier League holders.
“I would be worried if I was Chelsea because as much as Diego Costa can be a nightmare for the manager, there is no doubting his ability,” Redknapp said.
“He is one of the best and can do absolutely everything. Two years ago and then last season he was instrumental in Chelsea winning the title, he was brilliant.
“How you replace him I don’t know.”
Costa has won two Premier League titles since Mourinho signed the Spain international in a £32m deal from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in 2014.
