Chelsea will offer £48m for top 30-year-old defender high on Antonio Conte’s wishlist – report
Chelsea are preparing to launch a big offer to sign Leonardo Bonucci from Serie A giants Juventus this summer, according to reports

Chelsea are set to submit a £48m offer to sign Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, according to reports in Italy.
Calciomercato.com is reporting that the Premier League champions are preparing to launch an audacious bid to land one of Italy’s top-rated defenders.
The same article states that Antonio Conte is set to renew his contract with the west London side in the coming days – and signing Bonucci is one of the coach’s top priorities.
Indeed, the Italian media outlet claim that Bonucci and his Juventus team-mate Alex Sandro are very high up Conte’s transfer wishlist as Chelsea look to kickstart their summer business.
According to Calciomercato.com, Chelsea would be prepared to offer Juventus £48m for Bonucci’s services and hand the experienced defender a five-year contract worth around £6.4m per season.
The English champions have been left frustrated in their pursuit of top signings in the summer transfer window.
Conte has failed to make any additions to his squad since Chelsea won their first Premier League title under the Italian coach.
Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all moved to improve their options ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
