Insider reveals Chelsea clear to sign Brazilian defender after Man City pull out of race
Daily Telegraph reporter Matt Law reveals Manchester City have ended their interest in Chelsea target Alex Sandro

Chelsea are in pole position to sign Juventus defender Alex Sandro after Manchester City ended their interest in the Brazilian, according to Matt Law.
The Daily Telegraph reporter has been monitoring Sandro’s potential options in the summer transfer window as the left-back continues to be linked with a host of top clubs.
Chelsea have been heavily touted with a move to sign the 26-year-old wing-back in the summer and have reportedly tabled a record £61m offer to sign the Juventus star.
However, the Premier League champions’ rivals Manchester City were thought to be ready to challenge Chelsea in the race to sign the South American wing-back.
Like Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola is keen to improve his wing-back options given the departure of Manchester City stalwart Pablo Zabaleta this summer.
However, Daily Telegraph reporter Law has revealed that Manchester City have pulled out of the race to sign Sandro to leave the path clear for Chelsea to negotiate a deal.
Law posted on his Twitter page: “Everything can change, but, as of now, I’m assured Manchester City are not in the race for Chelsea target Alex Sandro #mcfc #cfc”
The Blues haven’t signed any players in the summer transfer window so far.
