Chelsea will only move to sign Broussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if a move to sign Everton star Romelu Lukaku falls through, according to reports in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsea are interested in signing the Gabon international in the summer transfer window but Lukaku remains a priority for the Premier League champions.
The same article states that Aubameyang is plan B should Chelsea be priced out of a move to bring their former striker back to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.
Aubameyang is being heavily tipped to leave Dortmund this summer following the departure of his manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Gabon star finished as the Bundesliga’s leading goal-scorer last term after the centre-forward netted 31 times in 32 games in the German top flight.
Chelsea striker Diego Costa is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after Antonio Conte told the controversial forward that he is free to leave the champions.
The Blues haven’t made any signings in the summer transfer window so far.
