Robert Lewandowski’s agent believes the striker would be best served remaining at Bayern Munich this summer.
The Bayern Munich star has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks amid reported interest from Premier League champions Chelsea and Manchester United.
Lewandowski was reportedly unhappy with Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of support during the centre-forward’s failed bid to win the Bundesliga’s Golden Boot last term.
The Polish striker scored 30 times in 33 games in the German top flight, netting one goal less than Borussia Dortmund rival Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 28-year-old would represent a marquee signing for both Chelsea or Manchester United in the summer transfer window as both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho look to improve their attacking options.
However, Lewandowski’s agent has appeared to play down the chances of the Bayern striker moving to the Premier League this summer.
“I’ve always said and I’m still of the same opinion, that Bayern Munich are the best club for the development of his career. And my opinion hasn’t changed, not today nor yesterday,” Cesary Kucharski is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
Chelsea haven’t landed any signings in the summer transfer window so far despite being linked with a number of top players.
The striker has scored 110 goals in 147 appearances for Bayern since his controversial move to the Bundesliga club in 2014.
