Insider reveals dilemma 24-year-old faced when making Chelsea, Man United decision
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol sheds light on how Romelu Lukaku decided between Chelsea and Manchester United this summer

Romelu Lukaku was forced to make a decision between financial and sporting incentives when it came to choosing Manchester United ahead of Chelsea this summer, according to Koveh Solhekol.
Sky Sports News reporter is claimed on Friday night that Chelsea had matched Manchester United’s £75m offer to sign the Belgium international in the summer transfer window.
It meant that Lukaku had to decide between his former club Chelsea and his ex-manager Jose Mourinho.
According to Solhekol, the Everton striker’s agent would have been keen on a move to Manchester United, given the financial package on offer at Old Trafford.
The football insider has also revealed that Lukaku would have been intrigued by the challenge of realising his full potential at Chelsea after leaving Stamford Bridge in 2014.
But it was Manchester United that Lukaku appeared to select, after the Red Devils confirmed that they had agreed a fee for the forward on Saturday morning.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Told Lukaku has decision to make – financial one to suit Raiola’s agenda, or sporting one to realise personal desire to return to Chelsea.”
Lukaku scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season to finish behind Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the race to win the golden boot.
Chelsea won the Premier League title last season, while Manchester United could only muster a sixth-place finish.
