Gary Lineker makes bold claim about Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku
The Match Of The Day host rejects the suggestion Romelu Lukaku would consider moving to Man United if Chelsea was still his first-choice destination

Gary Lineker has rubbished speculation that Chelsea was Romelu Lukaku’s first-choice destination in the summer transfer window.
The Belgium international is set to move to Manchester United despite Chelsea being touted as favourites to re-sign the 24-year-old throughout most of the summer.
According to The Independent, senior Chelsea figures are still adamant that Lukaku would prefer a move to west London despite the Everton striker closing in on a switch to Manchester United.
The powerful striker has even been training with Manchester United record signing Paul Pogba in Los Angeles as the Red Devils prepare to jet out to the Californian city at the weekend.
However, Match Of The Day host Lineker has rejected the suggestion that Lukaku would entertain the idea of moving to Manchester United if his heart was set on a return to the Premier League champions.
Lineker wrote: “If Lukaku’s first choice was Chelsea, he would go to Chelsea. I suspect it’s not.”
Lukaku scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season to finish behind Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in the race to win the golden boot.
