The Blues were 3-1 winners against promoted side Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday night.
Goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro Rodriguez secured three points before Huddersfield’s late consolation.
Chelsea made a swift return to winning ways following a surprise 1-0 loss to Premier League strugglers West Ham last weekend.
Conte signed six players in the summer transfer window but the Italian coach missed out on some of his top targets.
The Blues made the controversial decision to sell Serbia international Nemanja Matic to Manchester United in a £40m deal back in August.
The Italian coach is rumoured to endure a fractious relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and his board.
Former Liverpool captain Gerrard is confident Conte will get the Chelsea signings that he wants in the January transfer window.
“I think he will get the support that he wants and needs,” Gerrard told BT Sport.
“If he is saying to the people above that he needs one or two players, I am sure he will get them.”
Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons.
Conte has signed 13 players since the Italian coach took over the reins of the west London outfit in 2016.
