Chelsea want to make 22-year-old forward their first January signing – report
Chelsea could offer Michy Batshuayi to Monaco as part of a deal to sign Thomas Lemar, say reports

Chelsea want to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco in the January transfer window and could use Michy Batshuayi as part of the deal, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the west London side are keen on landing the 22-year-old Monaco forward, who was heavily linked with Arsenal in the summer, as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Chelsea this season and started on the bench during the Blues’ 3-1 win at Huddersfield despite Alvaro Morata being unavailable due to injury.
Indeed, the Belgian striker has only started two of Chelsea’s 17 Premier League games so far this season, casting doubt about his long-term future at the club.
The same report says that Chelsea are weighing up an £80m transfer bid to try and sign Lemar from Monaco in the January window.
The story claims that Monaco were one of the clubs potentially interested in signing Batshuayi in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as they look to set themselves up for a successful festive period in the top flight.
