Chelsea close to making 22-year-old their first summer signing – report
Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko in a big-money deal from AS Monaco, according to reports

Chelsea are closing in on a deal to make Tiemoue Bakayoko their first summer signing, according to reports in the English media.
The Daily Star is reporting that the France international is set to become a Chelsea player despite Monaco’s inflated transfer demands.
Indeed, the Ligue 1 champions are thought to want £50m for the defensive midfielder following his excellent performances throughout the 2016-17 campaign.
The same story goes on to suggest that Bakayoko will partner N’Golo Kante in the Chelsea midfield once a deal is completed for the 22-year-old.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first campaign under Italian coach Antonio Conte.
The west London side finished seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League title race.
The Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley to miss out on a unique double in Conte’s first season.
Chelsea signed five players in the 2016 summer transfer window to bolster his squad after inheriting the Blues fresh from a tenth-placed finish.
One of Conte’s signings, N’Golo Kante, finished as the PFA player of the year.
