Chelsea are on the brink of completing a deal to sign AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports in England

Chelsea have reached a £40m agreement with AS Monaco to make Tiemoue Bakayoko their third summer signing, according to reports in England.
Sky Sports is reporting that the defensive midfielder is set to become Antonio Conte’s third addition of the summer transfer window ahead of the start of their defence of their Premier League crown.
The same article states the 22-year-old with have a medical on Friday before the summer transfer in confirmed after Bakayoko underwent a minor knee operation at the end of the 2016-17 season.
The Frenchman was a key part of AS Monaco’s title-winning side last season as the Ligue 1 champions were widely hailed for their exciting brand of attacking football.
Bakayoko will be tasked with forging a partnership with France international N’Golo Kante in the heart of the Chelsea midfield under Antonio Conte.
Chelsea won their second title in three seasons but first under Conte last season after finishing seven points clear of their closest title rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley to miss out on the chance to win the double in their first season under the Italian coach.
